Tailor Text Variations to Personas

Now you can tailor text variations to personas using AI. Here’s how it works…
What is it?
When you create a new ad, you will see some AI-generated text recommendations. What’s new is the option to “tailor variations to personas.”
So, what is this? Within Meta’s documentation on Text Generation, it explains:
You can choose to generate primary text and headline variations using personas so that the variations are generated in a way that’s more aligned with how you speak to your customers. Personas are generated using information from your account and ads.
These AI-generated text variations are tailored to your ads and business.
Examples
Here’s what it looks like…
Here are some examples of personas I’ve seen:
- Jaded Advertisers
- Experienced advertisers seeking updates
- Busy digital marketers
If you don’t like the personas or the AI-generated text, click “Generate new variations.”
This Isn’t Targeting
Here’s an important point, as explained in the fine print:
Personas are not targeting categories and won’t be shown in your ads. Ad delivery is based on your audience setup.
This isn’t targeting. Your ads may reach the right persona if Meta believes that a certain person is more likely to respond to it. But your audience is controlled by the targeting settings.
Consider this a way to easily generate different angles with your copy. Know that you can edit the text prior to accepting.
There is also a way to impact the tone of the AI-generated text. I’ll cover that in my next video.
